Idk why it would baffle you. A CoD game releases every year. It obviously performs very well, but in terms of media attention, it's not exactly a big time story anymore. It's like your annual FIFA release. Certainly a big deal financially, and a great many people get hyped for it every year, but it's not much of an occasion, because at this point it's the same old song and dance. The media have, over the years, said just about all there is to say on these games. Rockstar release a major game like once every half decade. It's an event.
