Switch's third party support is already past Wii U's so I have nothing to say about this statement still holding up today.

As for the future, 3rd party exclusives (e.g. Bayonetta 3) will pick up the slack left by any gap by the Xbox Two and PS5 leave behind that will have to wait until the Switch 2 releases to close.

I think people forget that 3rd party Wii U support is taking more than half of the systems lifetime to even get a port of Minecraft. In comparison it was much less of a wait before Switch got the current most popular trending game Fornite on it, actually being able to benefit from the height of it's popularity.
