He was arguing Switch won't get many technically demanding 3rd party games, like the kind that need to be reworked heavily to function well on Switch. Thus far, that's the truth and will likely continue.
Look at all major titles of 2018, how much of that came to Switch? You're understating how little support it actually gets.
Lastly, Switch has the potential to be well support given the userbase. From that perspective it crushed the Wii U. However, the Wii U benefitted from being able to easily share games with 360 and PS3, which were still supported at the time. However, the Switch still doesn't have a core audience like X1 and PS4. So making the effort to redesign games for Switch isn't necessarily worth the effort.
