One Year Later, Metroid Samus Returns Still Not Sold Over 500k

Samus Returns is not a new game, its a remake.

The problem with it is that they released it exclusively for one of their earlier/obsolete platforms rather than their current platform. If the game had come out on Switch, it is likely that it would have sold many times better - as has been the case with other IPs mentioned in Curl-6's post a bit above.
