At least Pokemon has it's new unique charecters designs with unique backstories for each, lore wise. And although gun nuts will tell me otherwise, new fps games are same old same old. Same thing slisghtly different stats
And if you say every pkmn game is the same old thing, you can say the exact same thing for most of the jrpg gente as well.
Action rpg pkmn should be a thing, but either as a side game or a second version.
For example, XY as traditional and Z as action, or X as traditional and Y as action...
