The majority don't expect no compromise hardware or an endless buffet of games, they don't want to be feel forced but also don't want too many options, and they want as much as possible for what they can afford that's of reasonable quality. The Pro fits that bill. XB1 missed the mark and so did XB1X, regardless of everything else, which didn't help. PS doesn't have it all, but what they've made sure to offer is the best quality and variety you can get overall in a focused game console, for what you can manage to fork out, without it feeling forced or complicated, with a steady stream of games over time.

PS4 - $- We must build a console that’s affordable, charges for services, and pumps out exclusives.

PS5 - ^ -We must build a console that’s a generational cross product, with RT lighting, and price hiking.
PRO -&- We must build a console that Super Res upscales and continues the cost increases.
