Anyway, this is awesome! I can finally play Final Fantasy games past VI on a Nintendo system. XD. I will probably get them all if they are physical. However, I think only Final Fantasy XII will come out on Switch. physically. Maybe X as well.
Another thing. As someone already pointed out already. Square doesn't usually port game willy nilly anymore. They usually have a sense of purpose. I fully expect Square to be preparing us with a NEW Final Fantasy game. Maybe Final Fantasy XVI? Only time will tell. |
I am willing to bet that FFXVI won't come in normal form for Switch or it will not come at all. FFXVI could be a PS5/Next Xbox title.
I mean if DQXI is taking it's sweet time and with FFXV Pocket ed.
I expect a FFVI remake though for the Switch and PS4.

Well I wasn't expecting it to be the same version at all. I expect them to make a downport. Like how Call of Duty was for the Wii or DS. (Why did the DS get Modern Warfare 2 but not the Wii?) I mean if they made that huge downport FF XV pocket edition I see no reason why they can't do the same with Switch. It would also help Final Fantasy in Japan.
