Plus if it's a legal issue then surely it can be paid away. If SE don't want to do it then they should start a kickstarter, I'd gladly pay into it if it meant FF8 getting ported around!

It's being discussed on a closed FF group on social media so you wouldn't be able view it apparently the's some issue with the game which is why it's not even remastered.
