It's pretty sad, but usually it's just nobodies wanting to feel superior. They have no arguments, nothing interesting to say, so they rely on the "If you disagree with me you're a nazi", and it makes them feel superior, so it makes their day.
The Godwin point used to be the proof that someone lost a debate. For SJWs, it's their opening (and usually only) argument. That tells you enough about the validity of their cause and opinion.
EDIT: Oh, and what a surprise, he brought Trump and neo-nazis in his last comment. The joke writes itself...
