You need to Read Steven Erickson's - Malazan Book of the Fallen.
Its High Fantasy, and features tons of kickass characters (alot of them black).

HBO need to get their hands on that IP, and start makeing that a new tv series, like Game of Throne's was once.

Thank you for the recommendation! I stalk around the fantasy subreddit and see this series talked about a lot but never looked into it. I have a lot of books to catch up on but I'll put this on my "to read" list. Both those characters look badass!
