Much of this success can be attributed to Splatoon 2. It has 52% attach rate in Japan. Good move by Nintendo.

Switch will catch the PS3 before PS4? There's no guarantee the PS4 will even reach PS3  numbers and even if it does, there's not much chance PS4 will hit 10m before Switch.

Yeah exactly. Switch will easily pass ps4 before ps3. Switch will probably pass ps4 at around 9 million and ps3 is up at ~10.5 million. Switch will probably pass PS4 next summer and then with the holiday boost it'll probably pass PS3 December 2019. I think PS4 will pass PS3 but it'll probably be end of 2020 at which point PS5 will be out.
