Though I've come to believe that many Japanese artists color light brown as what we think of as "blonde" and blonde is depicted as yellow. One manga I was reading, the girl with non-colored hair ended up as brown and the girl with darker shaded hair was actually a blonde.

Hmm @_@ It does look lighter in this picture. I may have to consult the Council.
Though in seriousness, I guess there's really only two hair colors in manga until the author finally gets around to doing a color spread.

That being said, there is an absurd number of blondes this season, which leads me to ... Hanebado! ep. 9 - I really like this anime. I can't get any kind of read on where it's going, which is awesome. Connie, the tall blonde girl, is actually the most insecure one, even though she came across as the cruel villain from the start. And the mom, is she really the worst human being in the world? That end threw me for a loop. Is what she did to Ayano some kind of plan? And Ayano ... she's such a goober most of the time but then, bam, she's an amoral psychopath when badminton enters the picture. Is the main character actually the antagonist? She's scary and you want people to beat her ... but then, would she break if that happened? Would she go full Joker? I mean, this is the SAME GIRL Of course, what she said to Connie is sad but I can't possibly blame her. |
Tall too? @_@ Hm...she sounds fierce and kinda hot. Seems pretty interesting. Some really wild girls in this show.
