I agree with this, Ghostbusters got hated on because it's forced diversity, the film makers did it just to show how diverse they are rather than focusing on making the best/funniest Ghostbusters movie they could. If someone like Melissa McCarthy or Kristen Wiig auditioned for the role and they were funnier than any of the men who auditioned and got hired for that reason I dont think there would have been a fraction of the backlash. It shouldn't matter what gender, race or sexual orientation someone has, if they are the best for the role than they should get it. |
