Aside from a small few on video game forums, nobody cares about (or even knows about) this agenda-pushing "controversy". BF5 preorders are down, as sales will likely be, because the game is launching in a crowded field. While it is one of the more significant series' in gaming over the last decade or so, it is the third most significant launching within a 14 day period. And, CoD and RDR are not just a bit bigger. They are massive, compared to BF. So, certainly EA is to blame for the impending disappointing sales. But, not for the reasons the OP states.
