All three manufacturers have their highest sales at Christmas by a large margin.
Majority of Nintendo's fan base is adult and I don't that ever shifting back, there's too many generations of Nintendo fans now that are over 18 and millions more that will be crossing that threshold who were kids with the DS and Wii in the next couple of years if they aren't already there yet.
A kid who was 8 when he got a DS in 2007 is 19 today ... that's just a simple fact, Nintendo gains a few million "life long fans" every gen ... that adds up after a while to the point where they are the majority.
