Premiums under Obama rose 50% in whole from the start of his presidency to the end.
Premiums under George W Bush rose 90% in whole from the start of his presidency to the end.
The ACA was far better at quelling the rapid increase in premiums than what was happening before.
Also, FYI, the "public option" is socialized healthcare. Just like Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and others are socialized healthcare.
