Again, you're missing my point. The presentation didn't go on too long. The one this week was longer, didn't have the advantage of presenting the new concept, didn't have the advantage of showing the first-ever gameplay footage, and yet didn't drag. The problem was in the presentation itself. They focused on the wrong stuff. Yes, some people are interested in the nuance of the characters, but going through a disconnected laundry list for ten minutes is a surefire way of losing the general audience. And, again, there was consumer confusion as to whether it was a port or not. We acknowledge that was a terrible mistake in the Wii U unveiling, yet we don't acknowledge it here? As for the negative talk. It's not just anecdotal, it was pretty much a consensus. I've seen no evidence that the Switch saw a boost in its sales in June. |
Switch sold over 300K in June and GameStop reported sales doubled after E3.

Again, I didn't think the changes being noted were disconnected. And the very at least, I didn't see it from the various video reactions on YouTube. Granted it isn't a consensus, but there are a decent amount of people who didn't appear to be bored of it from what I saw from YouTube reactions.
We can agree to disagree with what Ultimate did at E3.
