Why are third party games selling well on Switch?

PSP actually had quite good third party support. Vita had OK support at the beginning but Nintendo really cut their legs off by taking away Monster Hunter.

If Switch can get PSP levels of support that's fine. This is not about a pissing contest with Sony/MS, those two companies must have 3rd party support just to survive, for Nintendo it's about building a broader software ecosystem where many developers can make some decent to great money.
