I hope we'll go back to a reversal in the market shifts so that these kind of games can get published/developped more often.

Yeah when I think back, a lot of the games I really liked on, say, the Wii, were mid-tier games, stuff like de Blob 1 & 2, The Last Story, Fatal Frame 2 & 4, Sin & Punishment, etc.
