Generally speaking, the vanilla Isekai genre is a dumpster fire. It reminds me so much of when I first got internet and discovered AOL anime role-playing chat rooms.

G0kU1990x: ::powers up adn hits cloud:: KAMEHAMHA!!!
CLOUDXxx13: ::dodges:::
G0kU1990x: (U CANT DODGE I SAID I HIT YOU)
CLOUDXxx13: ::takes the hit staggers a little bit and smiles::: that all you got lol

Episode 2 of the Demon Lord anime was unabashed adolescent wish fulfillment. I was moderately hopeful after the first episode but it seems that was a mistake.

Don't make fun of Cloud just cuz he's not here!

I just watched the third episode of that and...it doesn't really change much. The overpowered guy is kinda amusing when it's played for comedy, but like One Punch Man, when it tries to be serious it just makes me blink in confusion and look around awkwardly. The ecchi fluff is...what it is. Made me chuckle a couple times but just normal chuckles not serious chuckles.

Oh wait I wasn't going to admit to watching that. *clears throat and changes topic*

Decided to continue watching Holmes in Kyoto. It's pretty boring but it satisfies a rare itch for me I guess. Even if feels like the mysteries are mostly inconsequential...but maybe that's a good thing to keep it grounded.

In backlog land, I've been watching Sket Dance for a while now, and just got to Switch's backstory. Holy crap I wasn't expecting such a...dark direction with his brother getting stabbed and killed by the girl's psycho friend. It was good though, just felt like a huge shift in tone. Thus far I've been watching it as a high school Gintama clone, but it's started to feel like its own thing. So far Switch is my favorite character, we'll see if Himeko's and Bossun's backstories change my mind though.

Also next episode is the Gintama crossover. Heh...that should be fun.
