Generally speaking, the vanilla Isekai genre is a dumpster fire. It reminds me so much of when I first got internet and discovered AOL anime role-playing chat rooms.

Episode 2 of the Demon Lord anime was unabashed adolescent wish fulfillment. I was moderately hopeful after the first episode but it seems that was a mistake.
