How could Nintendo implement a Switch Pro?

The primary goal of a Switch Pro would not be to bring over more third party games, just as this was not the goal for the DSi or the New 3DS. It would mostly be to get existing owners to double dip or to grab new consumers by making the system seem shiny and new again.
