Fortnite - warning DO NOT play on PS4, or you can't play on Switch (and quick start guide if you're sheltered like me, and didn't know about this game before)

No warning is needed for something widely known. People just didn't think about it at all or asked questions. Maybe they never realized it. If you want to play a multiplatform game on a certain platform, ya don't play it or buy dlc for it on other platforms because progress/dlc content will be locked to a platform. You're being obtuse and not answering the question.

This has nothing to do with exclusive features or anything like that being locked to specific platforms. What is happening is that any player, regardless of platform (they could have played 2000+ hours on PC), logging in even once to PS4 and permanently losing their ability to play their account on Switch (and presumably Xbox One).
