They started really well, Daemon ex Machina, XC2 DLC, Fire Emblem (delayed :( ), Super Mario Party, 3 Nindies and the rapid fire game announcements. Then came Smash, and ho boy did that overstay it's welcome. They should have stopped after the character count, plus maybe the Daisy, Ridley and Bomberman announcements. 15 minutes shorter and muuuuch better.
The reason they did it was probably because of the invitational Tournament so the players would be briefed about the gameplay changes, but they seriously should have kept that backstage for now and showed that in a Smash Extravaganza like they did with the previous entry.
