I don't see what that has to do with what I said. I responded to:

"How about we all stop expecting photo realism and start focusing on just great, original and innovate games again? That would solve just about everything." 

By having not pushing that boundary, they're able to develop more games. The examples you gave of "We can have both" are bad examples because what it means is less games overall. QD put out 2 games last generation, and will only have 1 this generation. Sony Santa Monica put out 3 games last generation (counting GOW2 which released in 2007), but will only have 1 this generation. Those are reasons to not pursue it.
