Well, PS4 IS a generation behind so, technically, it shouldn't even be able to outsell it at all. I don't think at this point, the PS2 was outselling the Wii or the PS1 outselling the PS2. The fact that PS4 is outselling a ninth generation console is outstanding no matter what.
