Interesting. From what I looked up about him, he wrote the Star Wars Aftermath books. 

Considering Aftermath released during the Kathleen Holocaust and would have requires Lucasfilm approval, I'm considering him a Lucasfilm employee. If you want to get nitpicky, I'll admit he isn't a legitimate employee. But he did write more of the new Star Wars than you or I.
