Sold means for Nintendo sold to retailers, which is shipped.

No, we are talking about two different things, they were talking about sell-through in these cases.

They couldnt possibly be talking about shipped since the "over 13 million sold" figure comes from the same breifing were they reported 14.86 million shipped.
