Here is the week 21 update in terms of the two big consoles in Japan's path to be able to reach the commonly stated (in these sales threads) estimates for 2018 sales (2 mil for PS4, 4 mil for Switch) .

  TWS GD YTD AWN (Change)
PS4 17,482 -18,040 880,777 36,103 (+581)
Switch 36,590 -58,679 987,951 97,162 (+1893)

TWS - This week's sales
GD - Goal differential, the difference between the average week needed from last week compared to this week's sales
YTD - Units sold in 2018 so far including this week's sales
AWN - Average weekly sales needed to reach the estimate for the console.

Rather lackluster bump for PS4 all things considered. Stays relatively flat compared with last week despite 3 different exclusives launching. The big Sony announcement though is for the discounted "Days of Play" PS4 model which has already shot up to #4 on the Amazon JP rankings. Of course for the Switch with the two new Pokemon games detailed (and one already available) it will be interesting to see just how much the Switch can take off. It had a modest increase this week over last week and will be the first to cross the 1 million sold mark next week.
