Star Wars fans are just the whiniest, most childish fanbase of pretty much anything.
Even Star Trek fans can handle a sub par movie without melting down into a total train wreck of whining and crying. There's been plenty of iffy Star Trek movies and Voyager and Enterprise weren't so hot either.
There's been plenty of mediocre Marvel movies too ... Iron Man 3 sucked, so did Thor 2, Iron Man 2 was forgettable too, the first Captain America was average, Age of Ultron was a let down from the first Avengers. You see that kind of behavior from their fanbase? Nope.
Star Wars just has the nerdiest fanbase of the lot, any movie that doesn't go exactly how they want and they will completely lose their shit. The proof is in their behavior full stop which constantly on display.
