Nintendo now selling Switch systems without a dock in Japan

I'm also not really buying the whole "it's meant for households that already have a Switch" nonsense, unless you want to argue that Nintendo only meant for Japanese DS owners to buy a 3DS since that didn't come with an AC adapter and couldn't be charged out of the box either. It’s so far only being sold from the My Nintendo store and they apparently mentioned that’s it’s aimed towards households with a Switch already. Nintendo even has stated that they wanted multiple people in households to have a Switch, not just having multiple households with a Switch.

Why does it matter where it's being sold so far? And again, that is handheld-centric talk to have multiple Switches in the same household. It's similar, if not identical to statements Nintendo has made about its line of handheld consoles in the past. I don't remember Nintendo coming out and stating they wanted multiple people in households to have a Gamecube or a Wii.
