I thought Mayamota (Mayamoto? Don't know how to spell it. The guy who made mario and link and pikmin and Nintendogs and Wii Fit) said that SMG was fun to make and if it did well he would consider making a sequal due to the engine already being made. I would love that; just add some a few big free roaming worlds to explore this time guys! 360 could win, but they need an $100 price cut and not have too much support be announced for Wii, so it's unlikely. |
Ah, thanks. And it's "Miyamoto" (just a letter off). And to be honest, I rather doubt even the price cut could let the 360 win. They said in the last week that they had some "aces up their sleeves" for E3, but the weekend leak showed that their pocket aces amount to making their system the Mii Too. They probably still have at least one more thing that hasn't been revealed yet, but in the end it seems the journalist who wrote that their E3 would be "interesting" and "just a little desperate" was spot on.
And I don't think Microsoft can afford a price cut just yet, let alone a $100 one: Microsoft Corporation is hemorraghing money right now, and some investors are calling for the end of the X-Box line because it hasn't proven to be profitable. Mind you, Microsoft has a history of making highly questionable business decisions, so they might go ahead and announce a price cut anyways (we gamers would certainly be the winners there
).
