It’s a testament to the failure of the Wii U to see Wii’s Fifa 2015 outselling Wii U’s 2013.

It’s a shame Nintendo was so quick to abandon the Wii platform when it still had quite a lot of life left in it, and a lot more if they would have kept their marketing strategy, VC, and support for a few more years.

It is interesting to speculate how they’d have been if they skipped Wii U altogether and went from Wii to Switch. Perhaps a more feature packed Wii HD model in late 2010 to mid 2011 would have helped them maintain very high sales to bring the platform up to 150M similar to DSi.
