Been a bit lazy on multiple fronts but I have watched 2 shows recently.

Kino no Tabi (2017) was a show that I expected to not like very much. Normally episodic shows just aren't my thing, but this one was actually pretty good. Some episodes were bewildering, some episodes were quite sad, and some episodes were awesome. I didn't care much to watch the first version, so luckily any repeat episodes were my first experience. I ignored the OP and ED.

Code Realize is quite possibly the most average show I have ever watched. Aside from the ending, which I found fairly unique, the show through and through is average. I liked the gang and the girl, but the MC was very underwhelming. Maybe that is how he is different from other MCs, in that he doesn't fight well he just moves the plot forward magically. Also is interesting to consider that he is "Arsene Lupin" and a "phantom thief" as well as his goal of "stealing your heart". Sound familiar? Persona 5 vibes. Now which came first? Well the source material is also a video game visual novel that I am sure came before Persona 5, but I am not sure which was conceived first. The anime came after Persona 5, and now Persona 5 has an anime...

Wait, does this mean Persona 5 is based on Milky Holmes?

Well, no shame in that, as Milky Holmes is one of the most enjoyable anime ever.

I know it's supposed to be comedy, but the mom in 3D Kanojo might be one of my least favorite anime moms ever (bar actual antagonists anyway). How can you just assume your son is a pedophile based on nothing but hearsay? I'd like to see Inko Midoriya slap this idiot. I'm glad this particular drama is over, even though I'm already leery about adding a new love interest when the MC has a girlfriend. Eh...we'll see if it's handled well...or if that even pans out at all.

Yeah, that kind of pissed me off.  I mean, I get it, the MC is used to being bullied by the people at school, but he should have been hurt and angry at his family for not being on his side.  I can't even imagine that.  My mom believing something like that about me would be a million times worse than if all the rest of the world turned against me.  I know they were using it as comic relief but I don't think that was the proper place for it.  I wish he'd gone off on both his mother and brother for that.  I wouldn't want to have them as family.

I like the new girl.  I'm usually against everyone and their dog falling for the MC but I think this would actually be understandable.  Still, I hope she doesn't fall for him or perhaps ends up with the cat-guy.  I'd rather not see her deal with more sadness.
