Betamax died, MiniDisc died, UMD died, Memory Stick died, Super Audio CD died. Granted they had a bit of a good run going with the video8/hi8/digital8, and they have a stanglehold on the professional video market with Betacam, DAT is also doing well. Memory stick didnt die, it sells better than SD cards.
