Here is the week 15 update in terms of the two big consoles in Japan's path to be able to reach the commonly stated (in these sales threads) estimates for 2018 sales (2 mil for PS4, 4 mil for Switch) .

  TWS GD YTD AWN (Change)
PS4 10,964 -22,345 745,217 33,914 (+605)
Switch 36,308 -49,897 760,486 87,555 (+1350)

TWS - This week's sales
GD - Goal differential, the difference between the average week needed from last week compared to this week's sales
YTD - Units sold in 2018 so far including this week's sales
AWN - Average weekly sales needed to reach the estimate for the console.

Switch YTD has now passed up PS4. Both systems dipped in sales this week. PS4 is now at 1/3 its AWN and Switch is a bit under 1/2. Nintendo might have been conservative with Switch stock due to the Labo release next week and who knows what Sony is doing in terms of the PS4. If its baseline is only 10-15k then it will be a huge struggle to reach estimate even with a large holiday performance.

On a side note, Far Cry 5 has pretty damn good legs. Labo and God of War should make next week a lot more fun.
