It's a shame because the first game is superior. I got frustrated again with the second game and went back to the first and won twenty straight matches, averaging probably 2,300 a match and an 8 k/d ratio. The sequel is gimped for skilled players. They're turning it into Mario Kart.

That comment itself seems to point to the opposite. Winning twenty matches in a row reeks of poor team matchups. I played splatoon 1 and have played splatoon 2, and even thou there are good and bad things in both, the matches (at least ranked) are in my experience, more balanced in splatoon 2. Complete team wipes are more harder to get and skill with the weapon is more important as specials are not that great. Weapons are more balanced and not just splattershot all the way etc. (at least not right now).

Great to see splatoon 2 pass the first one in sales! Lets see how far will it get :D
