Firstly. if I may, atheists typically do not deny Jesus existed.  They separate the man from the deity.

Secondly, a man that espouses peace, love, brotherhood and other similar ideals is not wholly limited to Christian dogma or history.  You think Jesus was the first person to preach love and peace?

of course he wasn't the first to preach love and peace, do you know who was it, or does anyone know who was the first to teach love and peace? why did no other before him made an impact with ''love and peace'' teachings alone?

do you believe that the only Christian values Western atheists apply are ''love and piece''? maybe you are planning to marry 4 women all at once, 3 children each lol

there is a reason he is Jesus and not just someone who taught love and peace, which is where the ''separate the man from the deity'' point comes

the very reason Jesus was persecuted was because apart from his teachings, the masses also witnessed the miracles and became his followers, Roman kings felt threatened by his ''son of god'' claims and the overall trend he caused...

you think you make sense but you don't, unless you believe Jesus was the first to teach about love and peace

You realize Christianity isn't the oldest religion right? Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Jainism, and more are all older. They all have taught similar values and so forth. Only difference is, Christianity has a face behind it. Christianity is a result of a bunch of different religions before it. Nothing wrong with that honestly.

It's just funny when one religion claims to be the best and only one that matters, when it wasn't even the first.
