It should also be stated that the original Duck Hunt was not a Video game but a light gun game that was later made into a video game.
But ultimately as I said ages ago, Smash Bros originally was just Nintendo stars but it has grown bigger then that. The next logical step should the major parties involved decide is for iconic characters regardless of their origins like Goku or Mickey Mouse if the companies involved agree.
I mean the concept is based on toys anyway not video games.
