As people have pointed out, this is demonstrably false (thanks to that site linking about 150 currently available games with local multiplayer.
I am also going to suggest that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the BEST local multiplayer game of all time.
All this due to the fact that it is the best and most extensive Mario Kart by quite a bit, Mario Kart is the premier local multiplayer game franchise, and MK8 Deluxe supports 12-player local multiplayer - which is surprisingly easy to set up (unlike some kind of PC lan-“party”). At my office for lunch hours we regularly get 6+ people to play every day; almost every lunch hour since the game launched.
All of this, and the Switch is only one year old. It is on its way to being the best local multiplayer console by far.
