if we compare ps4 2014, to switch 2017, ps4 easily wins, and thats withs switch getting a launch boost, and the majority of there big franchises.

PS4 shipments 2014-15.4 million

NSW shipments 2017-14.86 million

Ah, yes such a massive difference. Also its launch month was the equivalent of a regular quarter so there is no advantage for either of them.

PS4 had a ton of big hits by the end of 2014. 2 Call of Duty, 2 Assassin's Creed, 2 Madden, 2 FIFA, 2 NBA, MLB, WWE, Destiny, Watch Dogs, Grand Theft Auto, Far Cry, Last of Us, InFamous, Killzone, DriveClub, Wolfenstein, Evil Within, Dragon Age, Shadow of Mordor, etc.

Lets not pretend like Switch had a hundred mega sellers while PS4 had table scraps.

Cod ghost was really bad and advanced warfare was meh.

from the list only GTA V, Destiny and Fifa were truly helped to boost the sales of the Ps4.

The evil within, Dragon Age, Shadow of Mordor, Killzone, Wolfenstein and Driveclub? Really?
