Not everyone enjoys gyro aim, and the further you progress in the game, the more disadvantage there is. It's the same thing with keyboard and mouse. You can play against K&M payers using your regular controller, but once the game becomes more competitive, you really shouldn't.

Then don't, nobody is forcing them to use an inferior method. Those who opt out of gyro do so of their own volition, they're gimping themselves by choice.
