I can't say I share your pain since BotW is one of my favorite games, and I think we had plenty of those classic style 3D games (and I don't think they were gonna get better than SS), but I do feel where you're coming from. Personally I'd like to see Zelda continuing to evolve in the BotW formula and potentially incorporating more of the classic stuff like the dungeons or permanent items or something, but I'm open to whatever they decide to make.

Just gotta say I heavily disagree with bold. ALBW definitely had a problem with difficulty curves, but BotW has quite an obvious difficulty progression between the dungeons that I think everyone can agree on (Medoh > Ruta > Rudania > Naboris > DLC), it's just not something the game tells you about.

Sure, but the jump in difficulty was so small between those that I barely felt it (Haven't played the DLC one, but Naboris is the only dungeon I'd call at least decent). I'm also taking the shrines into account here since they're a big part of the game and I only really felt stuck 2 or 3 times in those.

BotW is a good base for a future Zelda game but there's a ton of stuff that should be improved imo, and it needs to add back at least some of the old things back for me to consider returning to the franchise (Dungeons, title screen, main menu music, rupees/hearts when cutting grass, green tunic at the start of the game again, proper credits/staff roll music, etc).
