Edit: I see Nintendo said "The result is that hardware sales during this period totaled 12.13 million units." Interesting. That means 2.73 million consoles on store shelves or in transit. |
12.13 million is the number of units shipped so far in FY3/2018.
14.86M lifetime minus 2.74M shipped in March 2017 equals 12.13M, with the extra 0.01M appearing because of rounding errors.
