God of War 3 on PS3 sold 5.2m by May 31, 2012. That was just two holidays after the game released. In its first year it sold about 3 million so clearly it has legs. By that count even with slower sales later it should easily be over 6m on PS3. The PS4 remaster sold 0.78m according to VGC who has a history of vastly lower sales for God of War than actual figures. Also the remaster featured many times on PS Store's top sellers. With all that the PS4 version is easily at 1.5m so GOW3 at minimum should be at 7.5m+ despite having less fanfare than the new one. If the new God of War game is well recieved like God of War 3 it should sell way better. Remember God of War 3 released on a userbase of 29 million.
