So, I'm looking at Nintendo's 2018 release schedule now:
February: Bayonetta 1 & 2
March: Kirby Star Allies
April: Nintendo Labo
May: DKC: Tropical Freeze; Dark Souls: Remastered
TBD: Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, Mario Tennis Aces, The World Ends with You: Final Remix, Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Bayonetta 3, Metroid Prime 4, Pokemon
Not sure about Dark Souls and I think I'll pass on Nintendo Labo, but I'll be getting Bayonetta 1 & 2 and DKC again, 3 of my favorite games from the Wii U! And Star Allies will actually be my first Kirby game, so I have that to look forward to.
So, they managed to fill out the release schedule with at least 1 first party game each month until May. Hopefully we'll have solid release dates for the most of the other games 'TBD' soon as well. I don't expect to see Metroid or Pokemon this year, but I think all the other ones are plausible for 2018.
