Metacritic means bugger all, plenty of games I've played with a 90+ Meta have been tedious slogs.

Indies can't replace full fat games, just like trail mix or a snack bar can't replace a substantial meal.

Getting only 2 significant new games in half a year is a Switch problem.

A great game is a great game, it doesn't matter if it's made by an AAA developer or an indie developer. I don't care if a game sells systems or not, what I care about is if the game is fun to me.

You're not the judge on what is "meh" or "significant".

I find Bayonetta 2 to be an absolute bore, but that doesn't mean it's not a good game. It's just not my cup of tea. The franchise obviously has passionate fans.

Rocket League, Minecraft (it started out as an indie game) and Stardew Valley each sold millions of copies. How many of these "full fat games" of yours can even claim that?

Enter the Gungeon sold over a million copies on Steam alone. It sold 75K units in less than two weeks on the Switch. Not bad for an indie game, huh?

I'm no less "the judge" than you. Fun/quality depends on the standards of the individual; nothing Nintendo have shown for the first half of this year meets mine. My tastes aren't narrow either, I just like actual substantial new games. Heck, I bought more new games in most Q1-Q2 periods of the freaking Wii U than it looks like I will this year.
