I won't lie, I almost cut off Toji no Miko in the first five minutes. Seemed really generic. However, it turned out to be fairly interesting, at least enough that I am on board for now. The girl with the giant sword did the most to win me over.
I've already gushed about Yuri Camp enough in the manga thread so I won't talk about it too much here. Rin is just awesome, though. I want that to be known.
| Super_Boom said: While waiting on this season to get rolling, I've been working on my anime backlog some more. This week's show was Monthly Girl's Nozaki-kun. Basic premise is a normal girl confesses to a boy she likes in a roundabout way, finds out he's actually a popular shoujo manga author, and somehow becomes his assistant, meeting his other assistants/classmates/friends in the process. Holy cow did I love this show! Can't remember the last time an anime had me laughing so hard. Lots of misdirection, but I enjoy that kind of humor. Funny premise, and I pretty much liked the entire cast of characters. |
Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun is excellent. I've talked about the manga quite a bit in the manga thread. I adore Sakura--not only is she cute but she's also really funny. Her reactions to Nozaki-kun's stupidity are always great. Really unique supporting characters, too.
The anime seems really under-watched.
