My brother and I agreed that I should get him "something seemingly aimed at, yet clearly inappropriate for, children" (e.g. Hello Kitty cigarettes or condoms). My friend, whom I'm going with and who has been to Japan before (and who is goint to be my personal translator 
), estimates that about five minutes of looking around a store should do it.
