It is highly delusional to think think that the PS4 wont win world wide in December.   Because we know about Europe's existence. We don't have enough data to figure out the US yet.  Anyone who was paying attention last month knows that online sales are heavily skewed for Switch.  So much so, the PS4 could outsell it two to one and we would ever know.

But worldwide you really need to do some explaining to somehow overcome everything we already know about the select regions.

We know that Switch will win japan by a few hundred thousand.   We know Europe will favor PS4 with a much higher margin than Japan will favor Switch (like at least a million).   Whatever the difference is can't be made up for in the US.

A couple hundred thousand? Isnt switch up over ps4 in dec by 350k+ now without Christmas week and final week?

As for Europe nintendo pulla through much better in dec, ps4 wont blow it out by as much as you think imo. That said that means there is a chance. Its not delusional whatsoever

I never said a couple hundred thousand.  There will be weeks in Europe where the PS4 outsells the switch by 350k+ per week.

It will make Switch's advantage in Japan futile.  It really comes down to sheer volume.

Here check this out:

Europe: http://www.vgchartz.com/yearly/2017/Europe/

Japan:   http://www.vgchartz.com/yearly/2017/Japan/

Just looking at these two charts you can tell that the Switch actually selling MORE in Japan than it is in Europe, but that the PS4 is selling so much more in Europe, that it is frankly insurmountable.  In other words, the margin of victory in Europe for PS4 is nearly 4 million while the margin of victory for Switch in Japan is about 1 million.   It would take something unusual to change these ratios substantially this just for the month of December so it I do believe it is delusion to think Switch can win globally without presenting something more solid.

Like, even if Sony only wins by 2:1 instead of 4:1 in Europe vs JP,   then Sony still wins just off of volume alone.  So I will hold back from calling it delusional, I just think it isn't well grounded in reality.
